I've been contemplating on writing about my online dating extravaganza. For those of you that know me, you know what an interesting time I've had with this experience. From being stood up for my first 2 online dates ever to Big R screaming, "You're f'ing psycho!" to one of my dates, it's been interesting to say the least.
Now, after all of my fiascos, I'm about to venture into another chapter in "Double D's Adventures in Online Dating: Are You Sure This is a Good Idea?" Hey, I think that is a good title for my book/booklet. When I was home last, I was talking to my mom about my adventures in dating, and that is when the idea came to me. She thought it would be a good idea. I'm not really sure that anybody would want to read it, but it could be funny, and maybe it could be helpful to someone.
So I'm going to have to decide if I'm going to start writing it.
In the meantime, let's all hope that "Bareback Mountain" bombs at the Oscars. I can hope, right?

Whew!
Well I got "the talk" out of the way, and boy do I fell better.
What did you say? Did he just mention "the talk"? Yes, I did.
Don't worry ladies, I'm not seeing anybody now, so you can all breathe a sigh of relief now.......................................................O.K., now that all of you ladies out there got over the thought that this tall drink of water was taken, allow me to elaborate.
I informed my boss today that I am heading to greener pastures. That's right kids, I'm moving out of this cluster of a city called Houston. I'm gonna head back home. To good old Ft. Worth, where the chicks are pretty and the beer is always cold. Where the football team actually wins, and the baseball team goes to the World Series. Oh wait, scratch that last one. But hey, 3 out of 4 ain't bad.
I also informed the rest of the staff (which includes my roommate) and all went well. I think.
Now reality is really starting to kick in. That means I have about 1 month to get all my stuff sorted and packed to move it all into a storage shed, only to be moved out of there to my eventual bachelor pad with Cameltoes. Damn, I'm gonna be sick of moving by then, although I can't really imagine why I'm not sick of it by now. Those of you that know me will realize that I have moved more times than I'd care to count (17 times in my life, to be exact). I guess I'm a just a nomad.
Well, I guess I'd better try to get some sleep, as it's Saturday tomorrow, and you know what that means. Good times for everyone.
Keep on keepin' on.

Lonmontre Strikes Again. Unbelievable
Well kids, you gotta give ole Lonmontre credit. He sure is persistent. Here is the second email sent to my sister's friend "S". Keep in mind, that she never replied to his original email. Also, "Coyboys" is the club where they met. So without further delay, here it is.

Subject: Hello Beautiful.....It's Lonmontre, your new Texas dance buddy!
Wuz up?! I called you beautiful not because of your great body and cute
smile and spunky style and rad hairstyle, but because you have got such a
SUPPORTIVE FREEDOM NO STRINGS ATTACH personality type. I love that about you
"S", very so much and also very much so and also so very much....so(all
dat.) Thanks for being willing to support me(a complete stranger but
however, not s.t.r.a.n.g.e) in that stanky Cowboys beef, thanks.
Well on a more focused and more up rising-lifting lighter note:
I have started my personal trainer program on-line and should be done in
less than 2 months. I will also possibly take a speed course (3 day training
and a 3rd day exam/certificate up front) February 10-12 at UTA here in
Arlington, Te-jas'. Looking forward to networking with more trainers/clients
as yourself "S". This should be a fun year as my business/career and
love life come together, fun fun fun!!!
You are a cool, supportive and very awesome lady and I don't know you that
well but I sure would love to get to know you so much more "S". Me and

relationship with "S", the personal trainer girl;
yeah that's you, all you.
I will be getting my sprint pcs mobile turned back on so if you get an 817
or 972 or 682 area code other than your girlfriends, "Hi I'm Lonmontre, is
"S" available?"
I want you "S" and it appeared that you wanted me, even when "K" raved

Is it Saturday Yet?
Man, the weekend can never come soon enough. Neither can the start of baseball season. As I've stated before, I hate this time of year, as far as sports goes. On the good side, there are only 2 more months until the start, so I guess it's almost here. I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas. I did manage to get a pretty sweet mini-season ticket package, that ended up costing me 1/2 price.
It's going to be interesting where Roger "The Rocker" ends up this year. Let's start this analysis with the worst case scenario. He goes to the mother trucking Spankees. Which, in my opinion, would be the craziest thing that he could do. Why would anyone want to return to the city that stuck so many knives into his back once he signed with the Astros? It just seems like lunacy to me.
Next worst would be him going to the Red Sox, which I don't them. I just think that going back there would be pretty difficult for him and his family, especially since his oldest son is in the Astros organization. That long plane flight back home would sure get old, since I'm sure that the Bo Sox would have to give him a similar deal as the Astros did. Meaning that he would only have to be at the games he would be pitching in. But, like I said, that plane flight would get old pretty fast.
Then I'm down to being torn, as the next two teams are my two favorite, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. It's a coin flip here for me, as to which team I'd rather him pitch at, so I'll start with the Rangers first.
By him going to the Texas Rangers, he will be only 1 hour away (by private jet) from Houston. That's a big one. Secondly, he will be able to pitch in the American League, which is the best league anyway (ain't that right Big R?), and for Roger, it would be a big plus for him, as far as wear and tear goes. He would also be able to start pitching right away, as opposed to after May 1st if he goes to the Astros.
As far as him going to the Astros goes, the advantages are obvious. He's already been here for 2 years. He's in his home town. Andy Pettitte is here. They just went to the World Series.
Well, that's my take on the Rocket situation, and I could be wrong about my analysis (but not about the fact that the A.L. is better than the N.L., because I'm dead right there). I'm going to give the advantage to the Texas Rangers, and I'm making my prediction here for all to see. He should be making his decision within the next week and a half, so we'll all see pretty soon.
Keep on keepin' on.

Crazy Hand
Here is an example of a hand that I think that shows exactly what I mean by the weak/loose caliber of play at Full Contact. This is courtesy of Cameltoes.
O.K., here's the situation, my parents went away on a weeks vacation.........sorry, just had a Fresh Prince flashback. Seriously, here's the situation: $3/$6, 10 people at the table. Here we go.
Our hero, Cameltoes, is in MP with 44, and he calls after one limper calls in front of him. A rock raises and 2 others cold call, as does the BB, and the 2 limpers.
The flop comes down 4h9sQd. BB bets, limper calls, Cameltoes calls, and the Rock raises. One of the cold callers folds and the 3 other call. Now we're getting a pot here.
The turn brings a 7d. The BB checks and then limper wakes up as bets, so Cameltoes fires off a a raise. The Rock cold calls, as does the BB. The limper just calls the raise.
A Tc falls on the river and they check to Cameltoes, who bets and the BB and the Rock call (how can the limper fold now?......I think he had Ax).
Here are the hands:
The Rock: AdQs
BB: Qh9c
Cameltoes wins a $142.50 pot with a net of $106.50 profit.
Here's what I don't understand. How can the Rock hang on with just his top pair/top kicker? I can't even fathom him cold calling the 2 bets on the turn and still think that your hand is good, especially with 3 others in the hand. He didn't even have a straight/flush draw then. There is no way that he was going to win that hand, and you would think that a rock would realize that.
But now you can see how soooooo many players hold on to anything just waiting to suckout on a brotha's buttocks. And that's how the ass end of variance is kicking me in da nads as of late.
This was just too crazy of a hand not to share with the 3 of you out there that might read this sucker.
Keep on keepin' on.

Uncle, Uncle
Full Contact Poker has been a consistant nad-kicker. It seems that all of the mules out there are all ganging up on me to assert their mule dominace over me. Good grief. I don't think that it's a good thing to be in the red, even with the bonus, which at this time is about -$200. Not so nice, since the total bonus I'm going for is $260. But $100 of that loss is from 1 horrendously suckout-filled $3/$6 session on Saturday. So I don't feel so bad. I'm also -$110 at the $1/$2 tables there. I'm not sure why all of the mules (which are plentiful) there all simultaneously kicked me in da nads, but it they did, and did it continuously.
Today, I managed to loose $85 in 1 hour at 1 $2/$4 table. Not pretty. About 1/2 of that loss resulted from 1 VERY TIGHT ROCK that only raised w/the goods. Unfortunately for me, I also had BIG hands but not BIG enough. As an aside, I do have big hands, and you know what that means, he he.
At the other $2/$4 table I went down $50, as the cornhole pounding continued. MOTHER TRUCKER!!!
Keep on keepin on.

Got A Question For Ya
I just did my taxes yesterday, and "the man" is trying to bring me down again. I owe the man $84 this year, and to think, I thought I was going to get a refund. The man says, "Ha, I spit on you, pth, pth." Bastage. Gotta keep on fighting against the man. It is my mission in life.
Poker content:
I seem to be having a problem lately. It seems that I am usually unable to play 2 or more tables (usually 2) at once and win at all of them. For instance, last night I was playing 2 tables, and at one point, I was up a buyin at one and down 3/4 of a buyin at the other. Now, one big difference between the 2 tables was that the table that I was up on was pretty tight and straightforward. The losing table had one player that was loose-aggressive (but not crazy, just a mild case), and another that was loose-passive/aggressive (I realize that seems odd, but he played a lot of hands passively, but he did wake up every so often and start firing off bets outta nowhere).
Now, I don't think that the 2 different table dynamics really mattered that much in the difference in play. I was getting very nice cards on the winning table, and the would end up winners. On the loosing table I was getting plenty of good cards, but they were ending up losers.
My main point/question/pondering is why does it always seem that I can easily loose at both tables, or win at one and be down on the other, and almost never win at both tables? It really hacks a brotha off, and I really don't understand.
I know, some of you may say, "Well DD, you just aren't able to concentrate at both tables at the same time." I will give you that you can't pick up all the subtleties then, but I pick up enough to realize who the crazy player is, and who the rocks are, and who the fishy is (Big R).
Just my rambling, sorry. Keep on keepin' on.

Whoops, Wrong Site
I just checked out my Site Meter stats and I did some exploring (the Site Meter is the number on the bottom of my blog). Normally, I check it to see how many hits I have gotten on a given day, but I recently found out that it has a lot more in for there.
Here is something really funny. Some dude in France went on search.msn.com and typed in "cameltoes" and found my site. That's hilarious, some dude is wanting to find some porn and what does he find? Some mildly funny/entertaining (I'm giving myself a lot of credit here, I know) prose on life/poker. Poor guy.
Here is something not so funny. Some dude in Canada searched the keywords "cameltoes" and "kids". Not good. Sick mother trucker was looking for kiddie porn and found my site. I hope he gets caught and they beat him silly. That's just my opinion though, I could be wrong.
That's about it for today, as I gotta get back to the daily grind. Oh, and I found out that I owe "the Man" a.k.a. the IRS $84. Bastages, I was hoping for a refund.
Keep on keepin' on.
