Since a brotha can't get much veterinary related work, I got to work in my parents backyard. Only it was raining. And mucho lightning. And we were outside with shovels and wheel-barrels hauling another truckload of dirt. Metal is an insulator, not a conductor right? Oooohhh, it is a conductor, that's why you should not have metal objects in your hands in a storm. My dad and I decided to ignore that rule today. It's cuz we're brave like that. Maybe that's why the ladies call me "Braveheart."
I typed an email to Annie under the influence of my sister's itunes music. When am I going to learn that I should never, never listen to bad music and write. I intended to type a nice email -just the ordinary stuff like how's it going, etc. Instead, I was listening to Beyonce (hottie) and I started quoting parts of the song in the email. By the time it was all finished, I either made a fool of myself, or I scored serious points on the "I'm looking for a guy with a sense of humor" scale. I'm leaning towards the former, but hoping for the last one.
I also let her read my unfinished "Adventures in Online Dating" story. She approved, and she even laughed. Whew.
Tonight a bunch of us are going out for my sister's birthday dinner. It should be fun, I hope. I'm not sure what I'm going to get her for her birthday yet. I'm pretty sure that she won't want a cross-dressing midget who will jump out of the cake and sing "Happy Birthday." Probably not because she's lame like that, because seriously, who wouldn't want that? I know that Lil N would. She told me. (She was drunk when she told me, Big R).
I'm getting a redneck accessory put on my truck today: a Flowmaster exhaust system with dual exhaust pipes out da back. If that don't make the women gush, I don't know what will.
I know, I know, you're wondering why the women aren't beating down my door with all of my smooth talk. I wonder that too, really I do.
Poker Content:
I started playing poker again today, mainly because it's been raining like a mother here, and I can't work in my parents backyard today. I also have about 5 hours to kill before my truck's exhaust system is finished. I'm working on the Will Hill bonus first, mainly because it only requires 5 hours to finish. Actually, I'm 2 tabling it right now, which might be why this post is a little jagged, if you know what I mean.
I just had this hand occur. I'm in the SB w/Ad4d and it folds around to me. I raise and the BB calls. Flop is AhTh5h. I bet, he calls. Turn is a Td. I bet, he calls. River is a Qc. I bet, he raises, and I called because this guy is a little tricky sometimes. He had JsTc. Ouch.
My question is, was he correct in calling the raise anyway, considering I'd been playing tight, abc poker the entire time? I'm not exactly sure he was correct to call, but who am I? If it was sooooted, then I think it's O.K. to call, but there are a LOT of hands that I would be raising with that have him hugely dominated. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
