t.u. Bastage

Non-Poker Content

In case you haven't heard, this weekend is the Tristar Collectors Show in Houston. You can buy autograph tickets to get football or baseball players autographs. Most of them range in price from free to about $79, including Wade Boggs, Roy Oswalt, Rollie Fingers, Gayle Sayers, Earl Campbell, Jim Kelly, etc. Here's what hacks me off. Vince Young, who hasn't done anything yet, is charging $79 for his autograph!!!!! That's how much Wade Boggs is charging, and I seem to remember him doing a lot in the pros.

Hmmmmmm, how much has Vince "Hey look at me, I won a National Championship, so now I can charge $79 for my signature, so screw you kids" Young done? That's what I thought.

I guess that's what you get from a t.u. longhorn.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the abomination "Brokeback Mountain" cleaned house last night, great. I sure wish that a movie that people actually saw would win it. I'm gonna put about 1-2 odds that it will win the Oscars too, although I'm not actually booking anything, so don't get any bright ideas Big R.

Cameltoes and I played a R&A at Titan last night. To make a long story short, I finished out of the money (shocking, I know), and he netted a $2.32 profit. Good for you Cameltoes, don't spend it all in one place. I ended up finishing 34 out of 114, but like I said before, my mom says I play well, so that's gotta count for something.

Since Titan poker changed their bonus clearing requirements, I'm gonna stop trying to clear that sucker. It's ridiculous, because the highest number of players I've ever seen there is about 2,800 people. Most of the time there's around 1500. I'm no business professional, but that doesn't seem like the best way to keep you customers. It was already horrifically difficult to clear before the changes, now a brotha can't even dream of clearing it (unless you 8 table $5/$10 for about 3 years), and yes, you can now play 8 tables simultaneously at Titan. Wait, you can theoretically, but you can hardly find 8 tables running there. So, yeah, I'm a little bitter, because I enjoyed playing there, as the players sucked and the software is good.

Good riddance, Titan poker. Here's something funny, I just withdrew all my money from Titan, and what pops up as I close down the site????? A pop-up that says "Refer your friend, as he will enjoy Titan as much as you just did." Fat chance.
