Freakin' Yankees

Well kids, today officially starts off the 2006 MLB playoffs, and, of course, the freakin' Yankees get prime time coverage. This really pisses me off. There are some really good games for today, and some really good pitching matchups. Too bad that nobody is going to see them. I really would have liked to have watched the Twins/A's game today, although now that I know that the Twins lost, maybe it's good that I didn't.

The only team that I'm rooting for this year is the Twins. I guess that I can throw in the Cards, just because I'd rather have them win it then anybody else in the NL, although the Padres would be a close 2nd. On the AL side, I definitely don't want the A's or the freakin' Spankees to win.

I've had a pretty interesting day at the clinic today. I've had a lot of weird cases come in, and they have been ongoing and chronic cases, so I have been clueless. It's really hard to treat a case that you have no info about, especially when it's been going on for years. It kind of makes you look like an idiot, which I'm pretty good at doing anyway. I even had one lady get mad at me because I wouldn't give her dog a "shot."

Like I had some sort of cure-all shot that I wasn't giving her dog, just to be mean. Honestly Lady, do you think that I wouldn't give your dog a "shot" if it needed one?

Today is a good day because my paycheck is $140 more than I thought that it was going to be! Yipee! I'll net about $90 of that, so at least I can buy a few lap dances and a 12 pack of beer.*

I'm really, really ready to get home. Chief Pounds on Toes and I are going to order a pizza, and watch the Tigers/Spankees game tonight. I'm also going to finish the Poker Room deposit bonus and exit the online poker realm for good. *Sniff, sniff*.

On a related note, I just got emails from UKbetting and Totalbet announcing that they were closing my accounts because I live in the U.S. Party Poker and Pacific Poker will follow suit if George W. Bush signs the bill into law, which he most certainly will. There's gonna be some interesting rifts coming up.

Keep on keepin' on Brothas and Sistas.

* Don't worry, Annie. I won't be getting any lap dances. I will, however, buy some beer. And some Soul Glow Optimum Texturizer, for my sweet Afro curls, but I'll have to save that for a special occasion.
