I Need A Hobby

I really don't have much else to do with my life now that poker is out of my life. I used to spend a lot of time playing cards, and now I have a void to fill.

I have kind of given up on the band thing, I guess. I can't even remember the last time I picked up my guitar. It's kind of tough playing when you don't have anyone else to jam with. I really should sell my guitar equipment, so I can at least get some cash out of it, although it won't be anywhere close to what I paid for the stuff. It's just sitting there taking up a lot of space. But, maybe I won't.

Annie and I are going to San Antonio this weekend. We are going to stay at her grandparents on Friday night in the greater Austin area. Then Saturday will be spent at Sea World. After that, we are going to Big Judy's house for dinner with him, his wife, and my friend from college and his wife. I'm not exactly sure what we are going to do after dinner, but I'm sure it will be fun.

I've been in a funk today. I really don't want to work, or do much of anything today. I need a vacation. Wait....Didn't I just go on one with the lovely Annie? Yes. We did. But now it's over 6 weeks later, and I would like to go on another one. I think that I'm getting a little burned out with the work stuff.

I found out a few weeks ago that a veterinary agency is going to open up in Colorado. How fun would that be if I could get some work there, and then turn it into a working vacation? Just a thought, but I don't think that I'll be able to do it, as long as I'm going to work at the clinic here that's being built. Nothing like a back-up plan though, right?

Last night, Annie and I took my dog Earl to a lake near my house. It was a beautiful day, and it was very nice to sit on the beach (if you can call it a "beach") and just relax. I think that Earl had a good time too. I really wish that my parents wouldn't have sold their boat, because I really would have a fun time with it. But, the boat was starting to become pretty unreliable, and would occasionally leave one stranded in the middle of the lake. Not fun.

I guess I'd better stop this insanity. I'll see you on the flipside.

Keep on keepin' on.
