I Love This Job

This week is one of those glorious weeks where everything comes together at work. And I'm not even talking about cool cases that I saw, or everything going right. I'm talking about not seeing hardly any patients.

Monday was the only "busy" day that I've had this week, and that's not saying much. I wasn't exactly slow, but it was steady, and I had plenty of time to play on the computer inbetween appointments.

Tuesday I took off. No trabajo.

Wednesday, as I was driving to work, I had a great feeling that it was going to be a slow day. I had no idea how slow it was actually going to be though. I think that I saw 4 patients all day. So I mainly sat on my butt and played on the computer.

Today has also been very slow. I even got a 3 hour lunch today, and I could have really taken a 5 hour lunch and nobody would have missed me. Seriously. Five hours.

I'll take these days as often as I can get them, as I get paid the same amount whether or not I see 1 patient or 100. And to borrow an interesting phrase that works well here, "It's all pink on the inside."

I'm looking forward to heading out of town this weekend. San Antonio is one of my favorite towns to visit. I just hope that Annie can keep track of her purse this time. (Last time we went to San Antonio, she got her purse stolen out of her Explorer minutes before we were supposed to leave, thereby delaying us about 3 hours or so.).

I'd better get back to doing nothing. Keep on keepin' on.
